Support of the project Act against rape! Use the Instanbul Convention!

IMGP0171IMGP0201IMGP0185IMGP0178IMGP0165The joint project of European women’s lobby , Council of Europe and with the support of Ministry of foreign affairs of Finland is implementing in 33 countries in Europe through National coordinations , members of EWL. The goal of this project is to promote the Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence also known as the Istanbul Convention as a tool for change. The project consist of a series of events and activities aiming at mobilisation across Europe under the common slogan Act against rape! Use the Istanbul convention !  In 33 countries during the 16 days of activism against violence against women 2013 (25 November-10 December) , national coordinations -members of EWL and national experts will debate with governments to promote tha signature, ratification and implementation of the Convention.The recent Barometar of rape in Europe 2013 which was publish by EWL will be also promoted on the events.

In Macedonia the event  took place on 04.12.2013 at 11.00 clock, in hotel Best Western.

Stop the domestic violence including violence among peers

Name of the project : Stop the domestic violence including violence among peers

Period of implementation: June-December 2011


Objectives :

Young students were informed about the violence and the consequences  of it. The objective was students to be educated to recognize the violence and to find a solution of the same as well as to know to whom to refer in case of violence in aim to be avoided the fatal consequences. The teachers and parents were also informed how to find a solution of the problem and to call the free of charged lines for help. To :  President of the assembly of R. Macedonia


On the grounds of article 165 of  the register of the Assembly of the R. Macedonia, on the proposal of law for change and amendment the law for lottery and games of fun, we propose the following




In article 3, which changes article 79-a, paragraph 2 is changed and the text is:

“Assets from the special tax from paragraph 1 of this article in height of 48% are separated in a special fond for building and maintenance of sport objects in property of the R. Macedonia, and 2% in a special fond for combating against domestic violence.”




Recently the number of cases of domestic violence in R. of Macedonia is constantly increasing. This condition has a negative reflection on the total society. With a goal to take measures for stopping and decreasing of this type of violence, the Club of women parliamentarians raises the initiative in order to form a special fond with its aim to take activities in a direction for improving of these conditions.
